MORE SEARCH TIPS:

If you know the ISBN for a book (it's 10 or 13 digit standard book number), this is the surest way to find a specific title. Remember, when using an ISBN you should enter all ten digits together with no spacing. If you don't know the ISBN, try using a combination of the most important words from the title and the main author's name, for example 'oxford handbook longmore'

Common words

There is no need to use "common" words such as of, or, and, the, a, etc, as most items searched for will contain these phrases. Try your search again without these terms included.

Search was too complex

You may have entered too many terms, or added too many wild cards (the "*" symbol at the end of a word). Try picking a couple of pertinent words - it is usually best to pick the more unusual words. For instance, if a book is by Smith and Keebleston, it will usually be sufficient to search for the author "Keebleston", ignoring the more common name Smith.

No results found - broadening your search

You may have been too specific in your search - try removing some of the words. You may have mis-spelt a word, or expected a sub author to be listed when they are not. You may also like to try using the wild card facility, to catch different word endings. For example, if you are uncertain on an author's name, search for keebl*. This will bring back Keeble, Keeblston, Keebleston etc.
